Visa Details

Type of Visa -

Nonimmigration Visa-

Citizens of Singapore and 26 other countries may travel to the U.S. without a visa for tourism or business for up to 90 days; this is known as the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Permanent residents of Singapore who are not from one of the VWP countries are not eligible for this program.

Immigration Visa -
In general, in order to be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa, a foreign citizen must first be sponsored by a U.S. citizen relative or by a prospective employer. This process, often called "petitioning," is the first step in the application process, and is done in the United States. (Limited exceptions are "immediate relative" petitions which may be accepted abroad under some circumstances. See below.) If the petition is approved and is current, the petition allows a prospective immigrant to begin the visa application process. Generally, approved petitions are forwarded to a U.S. consulate in the country in which the applicant is residing. In such cases the applicant will be notified by mail and provided with instructions on the application process.

Document Required -
We will also accept applications from holders of work permits, student passes, long-term social visit passes or short-term entry cards if they are physically present in Singapore at the time of their application. However, all visa applicants are encouraged to file their applications in their home countries if they have not been in Singapore for a significant amount of time. The reason for this policy is that the visa officers at the U. S. Embassy or Consulate in an applicant’s home country are more familiar with his or her circumstances and documents than the officers here would be.

Fee -
Nonimmigrant visa application processing fee, Form DS-156 (non-refundable): $100.00
Border crossing card - 10 year (age 15 and over) non-refundable: $100.00
Border crossing card - (under age 15). For Mexican citizen if parent or guardian has or is applying for a border crossing card (non-refundable): $13.00
L Visa- Fraud Prevention and Detection for visa applicant in the L blanket petition abroad only (principal applicant only): $500.00
