Visa Details

Type of Visa -

Immigration Visa :-
Immigrant visas (sometimes known as "green cards") are for persons who plan to live, work or study and remain permanently in the U.S. Immigrant visas (IV) are a responsibility of the U.S. Department of State, Consular Affairs Bureau (CONS/IV). Most IVs require an underlying petition approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security(DHS),U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) before any IV processing starts.

Non Immigration Visa-
Each visa application must be processed on its own, even for family members who apply together. Due to various processing times, even if you have a visa interview with your family members on the same day, everyone's visa may not be ready on the same day. Therefore we ask that each passport have a separate courier slip attached.

Document Required -
The following NIV applications no longer require Korean language documents to be translated into English: diplomatic/official (A/G/C3), visitor (B), student (F), vocational student (M), exchange visitor (J), transit (C1), crew (C1/D).

Religious worker (R), media (I), temporary worker (H), treaty trader/investor (E), intra-company transferee (L), professional performer (P), applicants with extraodinary ability (O) and international cultural exchange (Q) must continue to submit English translations of all non-English documents.

Fee -
The NIV processing fee is US$100 and can be paid for at any Shinhan Bank branch within Korea. The processing fee is payable only in Korean Won and is based on the daily exchange rate at the bank. All NIV applicants, including children listed in a parent's passport, if applying for a U.S. NIV, must pay the processing fee. The bank will give each applicant a receipt showing payment. This fee receipt must be submitted with each application at the time of submission. Applicants cannot pay the processing fee at the Embassy.
