How Do I Apply?

Complete the necessary application forms. All nonimmigrant visa applicants must complete the DS-156 ELECTRONIC VISA APPLICATION FORM (EVAF) online. Click here to fill out the form. Applications will not be accepted unless completed in electronic form. The completed Electronic Visa Application Form then needs to be printed and brought to the interview.

All male nonimmigrant visa applicants between the ages of 16 and 45 must also fill out and submit a DS-157. All applicants age 16 and over from Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria, regardless of gender, must also complete the Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application DS-157. Student /Exchange visitor visa applicants must also fill out the DS-158.

GENERAL INFORMATION

An immigrant visa is required of anyone who wishes to enter the United States to reside there permanently, whether or not that person plans to seek employment in the United States. U.S. immigration law provides for the issuance of immigrant visas in four general categories:
Immediate Relative (Spouse, Minor Child under 21 years of age and Parent of US Citizen)
