About This Visa
To study in the US at an academic or vocational institution, applicants must first be certified as potential US students before submitting their applications for visas. The required document is form I-20. A school or institution that has been approved by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issues it and sends it directly to the prospective student. Furthermore, the school must register the student applicant in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Medical Care Visas
ABOUT THIS VISA
Medical services in the United States are very expensive. In order to qualify for a nonimmigrant visa to seek medical care in the U.S., an applicant will need to present information to show what the estimated cost of the treatment will be and how the applicant will pay for it.
Visa Fraud
Only U.S. Embassy employees working behind the windows inside the Embassy can handle your visa application. Please be aware that some applicants have been approached in the waiting area or outside of the Embassy by persons who claimed they could assist in the visa process for a fee, and some applicants have been cheated of significant amounts of money by these persons. Beware of persons who say they can advise you on how to obtain a visa, whether they are charging you money for the advice or offering the advice as a friend. Visas are obtained only from the U.S. Embassy, via the procedure described above.
